Nevaeh Unzueta (Los Angeles, Calif./Bishop Almeny) tallied her 100th career hit on a base hit up the middle in the bottom of the second inning. The Shorewomen are 4-10 overall, while the Cardinals are 11-5.

How It Happened
- Catholic got its only run of the game on a two-out home run to centerfield in top of the first inning.
- The Shorewomen scored a pair of two-out runs in the bottom of the second to take the lead for good.
Julia Weglarz singled up the middle to plate
Jenna Harper to tie it at 1-1 and the next hitter
Shannon Rosche doubled to center to drive home Weglarz to give WC a 2-1 advantage.
- Washington broke the game open with a five-run last of the fourth, taking advantage of two errors by the Cardinals.
Mia Mavoides singled to center to score
Nevaeh Unzueta and Weglarz to make it 4-1 with nobody out.
Chloe Trefz then doubled to right-center to knock in both Rosche and Mavoides for a five-run cushion.
Gracelyn Goforth capped off the frame on a base hit up the middle to score Trefz.
For The Shorewomen (4-9)
- Hitting: Trefz (2-for-3, two RBI), Goforth (2-for-4, RBI), Weglarz (1-for-2, two runs, RBI), Mavoides (two RBI)
- Pitching:
Gen Kozub (win 2-2, complete game, five hits, one run, one earned run, two walks, six strikeouts)
- Washington committed zero errors in game one.
- The Shorewomen had six hits and did not draw a walk as they left four on base.

How It Happened
- The Cardinals scored four times in the top of the first inning before a batter was retired, including a three-run home run that made it 4-0. The Cardinals added a run on a two-out to make 5-0 after a half-inning.
- Trefz scored Washington's first run on a base hit to center with one out by
Lilly Cook.
- Catholic would score four in the second, three in the third and two in the fourth to push its lead to 14-1.
- The Shorewomen scored four in the bottom of the bottom of the fifth, highlighted by a three-run homer to center by Cook with one away to cut it to 14-5 and round out the scoring. The game ended after the inning due to the eight-run rule.
For The Shorewomen (4-10)
- Hitting: Cook (2-for-3, home run, four RBI), Trefz (2-for-2, run)
- Pitching:
Emmie Meeks (loss 2-4, one inning, six hits, five runs, four earned, zero walks and strikeouts)
- The Shorewomen had 10 hits in the game and drew zero walks as they left four on base.
- WC had four errors in the field, leading to five unearned runs.
Notes
- Unzueta totaled her 100 career hits between Division II Alderson Broaddus (58) and Washington (42). Unzueta played her first two seasons at Alderson Broaddus.
