Freshman Gracie Heintzelman (Summit Hill, Pa./Carbon Career and Technical Institute) of trap & skeet is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Heintzelman set personal records in five out of six disciplines and helped Washington College Trap & Skeet earn a ninth place finish out of 31 Division III teams at the ACUI-SCTP Collegiate Clay Target National Championships last week in San Antonio, Texas.
Heintzelman's top performance can in American Trap as she connected on 95-of-100 targets, earning a 15th place finish out of 90 shooters in the Women's A Division. Her highest overall finish was in the Doubles Trap with 10th place finish out of 61 competitors by nailing 89-of-100 targets. Her performances in both events helped WCTS set program marks in both disciplines. Overall, the freshman hit 439-of-600 targets for the week.
This is Heintzelman's first career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
