Abbottstown, PA – The Washington College Golf Team competed in the McDaniel Invitational. The team finished 16 of 17 beating out Maine-Maritime.  

How It Happened 

Round 1: The team finished 65 over, they outshot Maine-Maritime by four strokes.  

• Teddy Howard was the Shoremen's top finisher in round one. He shot an 84, 12 over.  
• Matt Young shot the next best with an 87, 15 over.  
• Colby Byer shot a 90, 18 over.  
• John Matthai shot a 92 for 20 over.  
• Avery Flubacher shot a 101, 29 over. 

Round 2: The team finished round two 58 over, seven strokes better than round one.  

• In round two, Byer was the team's best finisher shooting a 79, 7 over.  
• Howard shot an 87, 15 over.  
• Matthai shot an 88, 16 over.  
• Young shot a 92, for 20 over and Flubacher shot a 98, 26 over.  

The team finished a total 123 over, earning a total score of 699. Byer finished in 71st place, Howard in 76th, Young at 82, Matthai at 81, and Flubacher at 88.

The team will travel to Collegeville, PA to take on Ursinus on Thursday, April 10th.
