The coxswain and eight rowers from the first varsity eight of the men's rowing team's share this week's Shoreman of the Week. The first varsity eight won its race at the Stockton Sprints on Saturday on the Bonita Tideway in Brigantine, N.J..

The boat beat out second place Stockton and third place Franklin & Marshall to capture the 2000-meter race in helping Washington College win all three races at the regatta. 

The varsity eight boat consisted of senior coxswain Patrick Beene (Burke, Va./Lake Brddock), senior rower Eli Bisco-Werner (Bordentown, N.J./home school) as stroke, senior rower Nick Gardner (Orlando, Fla./home school) in the seven seat, freshman Lawrence Haleski in the six seat, junior rower Noah Gentry (Edgewood, Md./Edgewood) in the five seat, senior rower Hunter Frederick (Laurel, Md./DeMatha) in the four seat, junior rower Andrew Ellestad (Damascus, Md./Damascus) in the three seat, sophomore Sam Skozilas in the two seat and fifth-year Mason Phalan (Alexandria, Va./W.T. Woodson) as bow.

Gentry is now a five-time recipient of the weekly award, Beene has garnered the recognition on four occasions, Ellestad and Gardner received Shoremen of the Week honors for the third time, Bisco-Werner and Haleski were selected for the second time and earning the weekly honor for the first time are Phalan and Skozilas.
