CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Mary Washington withstood a late four-goal charge by host Washington College to come away with a 15-13 win in a non-conference men's lacrosse game on Wednesday evening on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium. The Eagles improve to 3-3 on the season, while the Shoremen drop to 3-2.Â

Reeve Hargrave gave the Shoremen an early 1-0 lead 1:46 into the game on a man-up goal from
Ben Dickinson.Â
- After Mary Washington scored the next two goals, Dickinson would tie the game for WC at 2-2 with 8:29 left in the opening quarter..
- The Eagles would score five of the final six goals of the opening quarter to take a 7-3 lead after one.
- In the second quarter, Washington outscored Mary Washington 3-2 to cut the halftime deficit to 9-6 with Hargrave scoring on the man-up from
Cam Carrigan with 1:48 before halftime.
- WC netted three of the first four goals of the third quarter to trim the lead to 10-9 with 5:31 left on a Hargrave score from Carrigan before the Eagles answered with the final two of the third to take a 12-9 advantage into the fourth.
- The visitors would net the opening two scores of the fourth to push their lead to 14-9 before the Shoremen scored four unanswered in a span of 4:07 to trim the lead to 14-13 with exactly two minutes to go by
Gabe DellaPenna. The run started on a
Tom Merritt unassisted goal with 6:07 left.
- After a Mary Washington turnover, the home side had a chance to tie it, but it turned it over and the Eagles got the final tally of the night with 39 seconds to go for the insurance goal.
