Morgan Scores Team-Best Three Times for WC

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Haverford downed host Washington College, 16-10, in a Centennial Conference men's lacrosse game on Saturday afternoon at Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium. The Fords improve to 9-5 overall and 2-4 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen are now 7-7 and 1-5 respectively.

How It Happened
- Washington opened the game with three straight goals to take a 3-0 lead with 8:21 to go in the first quarter on a Grant Matthews goal from Tom Merritt capping a run of two goals in nine seconds as Cory Morgan made it 2-0 with 8:30 to go in the stanza.
- The Fords would score the final two goals of the first to cut it to 3-2 after one.
- In the second, Cam Carrigan would tie the game at 6-6 with 2:50 to go before halftime before Haverford scored three times in the final 2:22 to take a 9-6 advantage into intermission.
- Morgan scored two of the Shoremen's three goals in the third, but trailed 13-9 after 45 minutes.
- Haverford outscored Washington 3-1 in the fourth quarter to provide the final margin.

For The Shoremen (7-7, 1-5 CC)
- Scoring: Morgan (three goals), Carrigan (two goals and one assist)
- In Goal: Will Charvala (41:07, 12 goals allowed, 11 saves), Colin Gray (18:53, four goals allowed, one stop)
- Ben Hazlehurst (four ground balls and team-best three caused turnovers), Owen Boone (13-for-23 on face-offs)
- Washington was 21-for-25 in clears in the contest, 0-for-4 in the man-up and had 21 turnovers, while causing 11 Haverford turnovers.
- The Shoremen tallied 56 shots in the contest.

- Prior to the game the Shoremen recognized their senior class of Charvala, Matthews, Morgan, Parker Barta, Ben Dickinson, Ryan Poston, Jackson Raabe, Jason Skidmore, Carson Smith, Will Snook, Cole White and Aidan Wilson.
