Swarthmore, PA – The Washington College Men's Lacrosse Team led the seventeenth ranked Swarthmore after period one, but could not keep the advantage as they fell, 15-8.

How it Happened
- The Shoremen held the lead throughout the first period. The first goal by the Shoremen came one minute and thirty-seven seconds into the game. Brian Blanche assisted Tom Merritt to put the Shoremen on the board, 1-0.
- Nearly one minute later, Ben Hazlehurst picked up a ground ball for the Shoremen after a Swarthmore turnover and allowed Cam Carrigan to score his first goal of the night. The Shoremen led, 2-0.
- The Shoremen took a 3-0 lead with 6:27 left in the period. Cory Morgan was able to score after Ben Dickinson's shot hit the post thirty seconds prior.
- Swarthmore scored once before Dickinson's shot found the back of the net thanks to an assist from Parker Barta. Swarthmore scored ten seconds later to move the score to 4-2, still in favor of the Shoremen.
- Swarthmore scored three goals at the top of the second period to take the lead, 5-4.
- Grant Matthews had an answer as his first shot was saved by Swarthmore's goalie. He then caused the goalie to turn it over, picked up the ground ball, and scored the tying goal with 7:10 left in the half, 5-5. Matthews scored again one minute later after a Swarthmore clear was failed. His back-to-back goals allowed the Shoremen to re-control the lead, 6-5.
- Swarthmore scored two more goals to take the lead heading into the half, 7-6. They scored five goals in the third and held the Shoremen to none as they doubled their lead heading into the final fifteen minutes, 12-6.
- Carrigan scored his second goal of the game with 7:31 left to play. His goal put the Shoremen within five, 12-7.
- Swarthmore scored thrice before Tuck LeVanis scored with 1:09 left to play. He was assisted by Gabe DellaPenna. This would be the last goal for the Shoremen as they fell 15-8.
