Chestertown, MD– Washington College Softball sweeps for the first time this season to secure ticket to Centennial Conference Softball Tournament. With the wins, The Shorewomen are the fifth seed and will play in the single elimination, play in game on Tuesday, April 29th at Muhlenberg.

How It Happened
- Mia Mavoides doubled over the centerfielder and advanced to third on a wild pitch to put her in prime scoring position for Julia Weglarz. Weglarz recorded her fourth sacrifice fly this season to the right fielder, sending Mavoides home and tying the score in the bottom of the first 1-1.
- Back-to-back doubles by Chloe Trefz and Mavoides moved the score to 2-2 in the bottom of the third inning.
- Jenna Harper was walked and advanced on a wild pitch in the bottom of the fourth. Nevaeh Unzueta singled to center field to send Harper home and put The Shorewomen up, 3-2.
- Franklin and Marshall tied up the game in the top of the seventh. Shannon Rosche doubled to right field and advanced on an error by the right fielder to put herself in perfect walk off position for Mavoides who was the next Shorewoman up. Mavoides sacrifice flied to center field sending Rosche home and securing a game one win for the Shorewomen, 4-3.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen trailed 2-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning. Jenna Harper and Lilly Wenzel started the inning off with a single each. Nevaeh Unzueta was walked to load the bases for the Shorewomen. Lilly Cook singled to the pitcher and put the Shorewomen on the board. Directly after, Gracelyn Goforth hit a bases clearing triple to right field. The Shorewomen left the inning up, 4-2.
- Unzueta doubled to center field to start the bottom of the sixth inning. She was batted in by Shannon Rosche who doubled to center field.
- The Shorewomen held the Diplomats to only one run as they secured the game two win and a ticket to the Centennial Conference Championship, 5-3.

The Shorewomen will travel to Muhlenberg, PA to take on the Mules in the first round of the Centennial Conference Softball Tournament. The Shorewomen have secured the #5 seed and will play #4 seed Muhlenberg in a single elimination play in game.
