Junior women's lacrosse player
Mia Salvatierra (Bel Air, Md./Fallston) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Salvatierra scored 10 goals and added eight assists for 18 points in a 2-0 week for the Shorewomen.
In Saturday's 25-9 win over visiting McDaniel, Salvatierra tallied a career-high 10 points on five goals and a personal-best five assists, including the game-winning goal that gave Washington a 10-5 lead late in the first quarter. The 25 goals set a WC record for goals in a game. On Wednesday in a 16-15 win against Ursinus, she totaled game-bests of five goals and eight points and tied for tops in helpers with three. The junior scored what proved to be the game-winning goal with 4:37 to go in the game that put the Shorewomen ahead 16-13.
This is Salvatierra's fourth Shorewoman of the Week honor.
