LANCASTER, Pa. - Washington College juniors Eva Kading (Prairie Village, Kan./Shawnee Mission East) and Soleil Namunyola (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle and Seven Lakes [Texas]) have been named All-Centennial Conference in women's tennis in a vote conducted by the conference's women's tennis head coaches. Namunyola was named to the first team doubles and second team in singles, while Kading earned a spot on first team doubles. In addition, freshman Jayda Browne (Saint Peter's, Saint Kitts and Nevis/Washington Archibald) was named to the Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team.
Namunyola won nine matches this season, tied for second on team, and was the team's primary No. 1 player, playing 11 of her 17 dual matches at the top flight this spring.
Kading and Namunyola won seven matches as a duo this year as the tandem went 5-2 in Centennial competition. The pair played 14 of the 17 dual matches this season at the No. 1 spot, including a win in the Centennial Conference Tournament versus Dickinson on April 30.
Both Kading and Namunyola are All-Centennial for the first time.
Brown was named to the All-Sportsmanship for the first time. Each Centennial Conference member institution was permitted to nominate one student-athlete who exemplifies the best in sportsmanship for the All-Sportsmanship Team. The freshman won eight matches this spring.
