Freshman women's tennis player Juanita Arbelaez (Cali, Colombia/Colegio Bolivat) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Arbelaez won the deciding match at the top flight in the Shorewomen's 4-3 Centennial Conference Tournament first round win at #47 Dickinson this past Tuesday.

Arbelaez dropped the first set to Dickinson's Jenna Crain, 6-4, before forcing a third and deciding set with a 6-2 victory in the second set. In the third set, Arbelaez won the final three games to turn a 5-4 deficit into a 7-5 triumph and completed the comeback with an ace. The victory was the Shorewomen's first win in the conference tournament in four years.

This is Arbelaez's first career Shorewoman of the Week honor.
