CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Franklin & Marshall scored a pair of second half goals to overcome a first minute goal from host Washington College to come away with a 2-1 result on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in Centennial Conference women's soccer action on Wednesday evening. The Diplomats improve to 6-1-1 overall and 2-0-0 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen are now 4-2-1 and 0-1-0 respectively. The game was called with just over a minute to go due to lightning.

How It Happened
- Washington scored just 28 seconds into the game as
Gina Phillips scored unassisted as the shot from the right side was deflected in off of a F&M defender. The Shorewomen took the 1-0 lead into halftime.
- F&M would tie the game 6:37 into the second off of a rebounded shot and scored from inside the six.
- The Dipolmats would take the lead at the 68:02 mark on a chip shot from about 35 yards that went into the upper middle just under the crossbar.
- Off of a corner kick, the Shorewomen had their final chance with 1:14 to go on a header by
Bridget Whiteside, but the header went over the crossbar. The game was stopped with 1:09 remaining due to lightning and called about 45 minutes later.
