ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Washington College volleyball team swept a pair of matches in three sets on Saturday afternoon at Lees Gymnasium in non-conference tri-match on the campus of Cedar Crest. In the first match, the Shorewomen downed Penn State Brandywine, 3-0 (25-12, 25-22, 25-22), and in the second contest, Washington took down host Cedar Crest, 3-0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-3). The Shorewomen extend their winning streak to 12 matches with the two wins.  Â

How It Happened
- In the first set, the Shorewomen used a 13-3 run to take a 14-5 lead on Penn State Brandywine a kill by
Izzy Diehl.
Giselle Kleinbussink tallied a kill to cap the opening set as WC scored the final six points and hit .258 as a team in the set.
- The Shorewomen and Lions were tied at 22-22 in the second set before Washington won the final three points to grab the second with
Anna Titter serving up an ace to clinch it.
- Leading 24-22 in the third and final set,
Gianna Folke concluded the set and match with a kill to give the Shorewomen their second three-point set victory of the contest.

- Diehl (match-high 10 kills),
Alexis Stubbs (13 assists, 12 digs and five aces),
Allison McKechnie (13 assists), Titter (16 digs for contest-high),
Gianna Romano (13 digs),
Emma Shaner (three blocks)
- Team hit .107 in the contest, notched three blocks and recorded 13 aces.
- Stubbs and McKechnie each had a match-high 13 helpers.

How It Happened
- Washington never trailed in the first set and jumped out to a 6-1 lead following an attack error by Cedar Crest. Titter recorded an ace for the final point of the set.
- In the second set, the Falcons led 22-17 in the second set before the Shorewomen rolled off eight of the final nine points to win 25-23. Tied at 23-23, kills by Kleinbussink and McKechnie respectively gave the visitors the second set.
- Ahead 5-3 in the third set, the Shorewomen rolled off 20 unanswered points to clinch the set and match. Diehl started the match-ending run with a kill and a McKechnie service ace finished it.

Notes
- The longest winning streak in program history is 15 wins, which took place at the end of the 1977 and start of the 1978 seasons. The 12-match victory run is the longest this century for the Shorewomen.
