ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Visiting Washington College outscored host Muhlenberg 16-3 in the final 3:08 of the game to turn a 50-43 deficit into a 59-53 victory on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Hall in Centennial Conference women's basketball action. The Shorewomen are now 7-9 overall and 2-4 in the Centennial, while the Mules fall to 7-8 overall and 2-3 respectively.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen scored the first four points and never trailed in the first quarter taking a 15-8 lead into the second.
Peyton Berger capped the scoring in the stanza on two free throws with eight seconds to go.
- In the second quarter, the Mules held a 19-8 advantage to take a 27-23 lead into halftime. Muhlenberg led by as many as seven at 27-20 with 2:18 to go before halftime before Washington tallied the final three points to trim it to four at break as
Kaitlyn Boggs converted a lay-in with 54 ticks left for the last points.
- Boggs would level the game at 29-29 just 1:52 into the third quarter before the Mules scored the next four points to retake the lead. The home side took a 42-39 lead into the fourth.
- Trailing 50-43 with 6:16 left in the fourth following a jumper by the Mules, their last field goal of the game, the Shorewomen began their game-closing comeback with 3:08 to go on a
Maggie Lawrence layup to trim the lead to 50-45. Washington would take its first lead since the second quarter with 53 seconds to go on a pull up jumper from the left side that beat the shot clock by
Abby Meredith to make it 51-50.
- After an offensive foul on Muhlenberg, Boggs sank a bunny to push the lead to 53-50 with 43 seconds remaining.
- The Mules got two free throws to trim the advantage to one, 53-52, with 28 ticks left, but that's as close as they would get as Meredith canned four foul shots and Berger drained two in the final 23 ticks to seal the deal. Â

- Boggs (team-high 19 points, three assists and two steals), Meredith (19 points),
Emma Robinson (game-best 11 rebounds), Berger (three steals to tie for tops in game)
- Washington shot 36% from the field (17-for-47), 22% from three-point range (2-for-9) and 72% from the foul line (23-for-32).
- Washington had 37 rebounds and had 11 turnovers in the contest.
- The Shorewomen held a 22-8 edge in points in the paint and a 10-4 advantage in both transition points and points off turnovers.Â
