Haverford, PA- The Washington College women's basketball team took the Fords of Haverford to overtime at their home gym. The Shorewomen came up clutch on the free throw line in the final seconds of the game to secure themselves the conference win.

How It Happened
- Haverford scored the first basket of the game within the first 28 seconds of the quarter. The Shorewomen scored nine points in less than two minutes to take a 9-2 lead. Kaitlyn Boggs scored six of those nine. Haverford went on a run on their own and the Shorewomen trailed 17-13 at the end of the quarter despite the early lead.
- The first basket of the second quarter came one minute and 39 seconds into the quarter. Emma Robinson scored driving to the basket after receiving the pass from Sarah Oleary.
- With 5:40 left in the half, Ellie Carter-Soriano sunk a three-point basket off a pass from Robinson. Her bucket put the Shorewomen down one on Haverford, 22-21, after trailing the majority of the quarter. About a minute later, Abby Meredith sunk the lead taking basket to put the Shorewomen up 23-22 with 4:30 left in the half.
- The scoring was even for the rest of the half, the Shorewomen still trailed by one heading into the locker room, 28-27.
- Washington College out shot Haverford by one point in the second half, sending the two teams into a five-minute overtime to decide the game.
- Boggs had the first bucket of the five minutes to put the Shoremen up by two with a layup from Robinson.
- With 2:08 left to play, Boggs sunk another layup and took the lead for the Shorewomen for the final time. This basket kick-started a 10-4 run for the Shorewomen as they led 59-53 with :33 seconds remaining. Haverford's best three-point shooter sunk a shot from behind the arc to lessen the deficit to three. Haverford then had to foul to try and regain possession but Peyton Berger and Meredith shot 100% from the free throw line in the remaining seconds to secure the lead for the Shorewomen, 65-58.
