Chestertown, MD - The Washington College women's basketball team came up short in conference battle against Diplomats, 54-47. The Shorewomen struggled scoring until the fourth quarter, but it was too late as they could not combat the deficit set by Franklin & Marshall.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen trailed 11-3 with 2:07 left in the first period. Kaitlyn Boggs sunk two free throws and Peyton Berger made a layup with 13 seconds left to put the Shorewomen down four, 11-7.
- The Shorewomen outscored the Diplomats, 8-5, to start the second. The Diplomats had an answer with a seven-point unanswered scoring run. Maggie Lawrence provided an answer with a layup from Abby Meredith, but the Diplomats kept the scoring even to end the half, 5-5. They lead 28-19.
- Boggs sunk the first basket for the Shorewomen coming out of the half. She then assisted Meredith who hit a three pointer to lessen the deficit to 14, 38-24. Meredith's bucket started a 7-3 scoring run for the Shorewomen who still trailed by ten with 2:26 left in the third.
- Scoring began in the final period for the Shorewomen with two free throws by Ellie Carter-Soriano. Sarah Oleary followed those up with a three pointer to put the Shorewomen within seven of the Diplomats, 45-38. Meredith moved the deficit to five with a layup with 7:30 left to play.
- The Diplomats got ahead by ten, 50-40, until Emma Robinson and Boggs each added in layups, putting the Shorewomen down six with 2:45 remaining. Boggs was fouled going up, so she headed to the line with two attempts. She sunk the second of the two, and the Shorewomen were down by five yet again.
- A corner three for the Diplomats put them ahead eight with 22 seconds remaining. A turnover on an in bounds play gave the ball back to the Diplomats and the Shorewomen tried to make up the deficit, but the only basket came from Cash who drove in with seven seconds remaining. The Shorewomen fell, 54-47.
