SALISBURY, Md. – Host Salisbury outscored visiting Washington College 15-9 in the final 6:42 of the game to come away with a 72-71 result on Monday evening at Maggs Physical Activities Center in non-conference men's basketball action. The Sea Gulls are now 8-7 on the season, while the Shoremen cap their non-conference slate at 10-2.

How It Happened
- Trailing 24-23 with 5:20 to go in the first half, the Shoremen went on a 14-2 run to take a 37-26 lead with 1:12 left before halftime on a pair of
Jaedon Harris free throws.
Jon Nalty began the run with a three-pointer eight seconds after the Sea Gulls took the one-point lead.
- Washington took a 37-30 lead into the halftime intermission.
- Leading 47-43, Washington scored five straight points to take a 52-43 advantage with 14:10 left in the second half following a three by
Nolan Waldon.
- After a Harris basket put WC up 62-57 with 6:42 to go, Salisbury answered with nine unanswered points to grab a 66-62 lead with 4:00 left on a three-pointer.
- The Shoremen would tie it at 68-68 with 42.6 remaining on a Nalty fast-break layup following a turnover by the Sea Gulls. Â
- Salisbury would take the lead for good with 27.4 seconds left on a lay-in at 70-68.
- Washington was unable to answer on the next possession and Salisbury got the rebound and canned both from the foul line to make it 72-68 with 3.4 left.
Ryan Lang would drain a three at the buzzer for the guests to provide the final margin.
