Haverford, Pa. - The Washington College Shoremen fell to Haverford College, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon at Walton Field in a Centennial Conference men's soccer game as the homestanding Fords got the contest's lone goal with 5:22 remaining in the second half. The Shoremen created several scoring opportunities throughout the match, including late pressure in the final minutes after falling behind, but Haverford held on for the shutout.

How It Happened
- Washington College created early pressure as
Walker Patino had a shot blocked in the 11th minute after the Shoremen earned a corner kick.
Scott O'Donnell added a shot wide in the 20th minute that was just short of the net.
- The Shoremen continued to generate opportunities, earning another corner in the 28th minute before O'Donnell had another shot saved by the Haverford goalkeeper.
Tucker Sprano later had a shot blocked in the 43rd minute.

Hannes Budde made a crucial save in the 33rd minute on a shot from the Fords, while the Shoremen's defense kept the match scoreless heading into halftime.
