ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Visiting Washington College used a 5-1 fourth quarter to turn a 4-3 deficit into an 8-5 campaign lidlifting win over host Elizabethtown in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon at Wolf Field. The Shoremen are 1-0 on the year, while the Blue Jays fall to 1-3.Â

How It Happened
- In the opening quarter, Elizabethtown took a 3-0 lead with 6:44 to go in the first before Washington finally got on the board 39 seconds later on a
Peyton Gestole score from
Jake Laubach.
- The Blue Jays netted the only goal of the second quarter to take a 4-1 advantage into halftime.
- WC tallied both goals in the third quarter to cut the lead to 4-3 entering the final 15 minutes.
Cam Carrigan and Gestole scored the goals from
Reeve Hargrave and Laubach respectively.
- In the fourth,
Nate Winters tied it 90 seconds into the stanza at 4-4 on an unassisted score before the host Blue Jays countered 33 seconds later to retake the edge, 5-4.
- Just 33 seconds later, Winters would start the game-clinching 4-0 run for the road side on an unassisted goal.
- Gestole would put the Shoremen ahead for the first time with 9:51 remaining in the game on a feed from Carrigan to give the guests a 6-5 lead.
- Laubach found
Aiden Ventura for a man-up goal with 6:20 left to make it 7-5 for the Shoremen and Carrigan capped the run and scoring on an unassisted finisher with 44 ticks to go.
