LANCASTER, Pa. – Junior
Nathan Rawa (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) earned a co-bronze medal in the 50-yard freestyle and set three records to highlight Washington College's performance at the 2026 Centennial Conference Swimming Championships, hosted by Franklin & Marshall held Thursday night through Sunday evening at McGinness Pool inside the Kunkel Aquatics Center. The Shoremen, who set three school records, finished seventh overall with 219.5 points.

- On Friday night in the 50 freestyle final, the junior shared the bronze with Johns Hopkins'
Michael Ivanov with a time of 20.44, breaking his own mark he had established on Friday morning in the preliminary round (20.59). Rawa entered the championship as the program's record holder at 20.80. It is his second all-time bronze medal as he garnered bronze in the 100 backstroke at last year's championship. The junior broke another one of his own program mark on Saturday morning in the 100 butterfly in 49.08 and clinched a spot in the A Final. In the A Final, he placed sixth in 49.11. Rawa set his third record on Sunday in the 100 freestyle in a time of 45.90, a mark in which he would eclipse later in the lead leg of the 400 freestyle relay.

Shane Brace landed 12th place in the 200 butterfly in 1:55.28 on Sunday.

Connor Kravitz-Yoffee secured 13th in the 1650 freestyle on Sunday with a time of 16:53.63. In the 500 freestyle, the senior improved on his best time by three-hundredths of a second to 4:46.49 and now is in sixth in program history in the Friday morning preliminaries.

James Hackett netted 14th in the 200 freestyle (1:43.85) on Saturday night.

Jackson Rooney is now fifth all-time in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:46.47 in Friday's preliminary round, moving up five spots, and in the B Final on Friday night was 15th with a time of 4:44.93 to better his fifth place in program history mark.

Gabe Summa earned 15th in the 100 backstroke (53.33) and 16th in the 100 butterfly (51.72) on Saturday evening.
Shoremen Top Relay Performances
- The 200-medley relay team of Summa, Rawa,
Niles Commodore and Rooney took fifth place in 1:33.06 on Thursday evening.
- The 800 freestyle squad of Rooney, Hackett, Kravitz-Yoffee and
Brody Salpeter netted sixth in 7:06.80 on Thursday night.
- The 400-yard medley relay team of Summa, Rawa, Commodore and Hackett landed in fifth with a time of 3:25.41 on Friday night.
- Rawa, Commodore, Rooney and Hackett were sixth overall in the 200 freestyle relay on Saturday evening (1:25.12).
- In the 400 freestyle relay on Sunday, the four of Rawa, Commodore,
Mike Lee and Hacket finished fifth with a time of 3:07.61 and Rawa's leadoff leg time of 45.68 improved his program record mark in the 100 freestyle in the final event of the championships.
Notes
- #9 Johns Hopkins won the event with 940.5 points, finishing 214.5 points ahead of Gettysburg who had 726 for second place. Swarthmore was third with 675, followed by Dickinson who had 311 points to place fourth. Spots five through eight were host Franklin & Marshall (277), Ursinus (229), Washington (219.5) and McDaniel (135).
- Sunday was one session instead of two due to an impending winter storm.
- The seniors on the 2025-26 Shoremen were Brace and Kravitz-Yoffee.
