Green Terror Holds Off Shoremen, 65-60

Harris Totals 18 Points to Set Career-Best

WESTMINSTER, Md. – Host McDaniel downed visiting Washington College, 65-60, on Wednesday night in Centennial Conference men's basketball action at the Gill Center. The Green Terror improves to 12-8 overall and 2-6 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen drop to 10-10 and 0-8 respectively.

How It Happened
- Tied at 12-12, McDaniel scored eight of the following 11 points to take a 20-15 lead with 9:44 left in the first half on a free throw.
- The Green Terror led by as many as nine, 32-23, before the Shoreomen closed out the first half with the last five points to trim the lead to 32-28 at intermission. 
- In the second half, McDaniel took its biggest lead of the game of 11 points on a pair of occasions, with the final one coming with 9:52 left in the stanza at 52-41 on a layup.
- The closest Washington would get the rest of the way was five points, which happened twice, the first on a Jaedon Harris steal and transition layup with 7:34 to go and on a Max Portnoy free throw in the final second that provided the final margin.

For The Shoremen (10-10, 0-8 CC)
- Harris (career-best 18 points), Jon Nalty (17 points), Ty Woodland (12 points), Portnoy (six rebounds)
- The Shoremen shot 46% (23-for-50) from the floor, 47% (7-for-15) from three-point range and 47% (7-for-15) from the foul stripe. 
- Washington had 11 turnovers and 28 rebounds in the game.
- The Shoremen held a 23-13 advantage in bench points and 7-5 in transition points.
