#11 Cardinals Top Shoremen, 15-10

Gestole and Winters Score Three Times Each

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting #11 St. John Fisher jumped out to a 9-2 halftime lead on its way to a 15-10 win over host Washington College on Saturday afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium. The 11th ranked Cardinals improve to 6-0, while the Shoremen are now 5-2.

How It Happened
- The Cardinals scored the first two goals of the game before Nicky Bond got the Shoremen on the board with 6:01 to go in the first quarter.
- St. John Fisher netted the final three goals of the first to lead 5-1 after one.
- In the second, the guests tallied four of the five scores to take a 9-2 lead into halftime.
- Both teams scored four times in the third with the Cardinals taking a 13-6 lead into the final stanza.
- St. John Fisher scored the first two of the fourth before Washington got the last four goals of the game to provide the final margin.

For The Shoremen (5-2)
- Scoring: Peyton Gestole and Nate Winters (three goals), Bond and Aiden Ventura (two goals), Talan Behler (two assists)
- In Goal: Skeet Hine (45:00, 13 goals allowed, nine saves), Keegan Dunn (15:00, two goals allowed, five saves)
- Ronan Miller (six ground balls), Brian Blanche (career-high and game-best five caused turnovers)
- Washington recorded 41 shots, was 28-for-31 in clears in the contest and nabbed 32 ground balls.
- The Shoremen had 17 turnovers, while forcing 12 St. John Fisher caused turnovers.
