Chestertown, MD- The Washington College baseball team swept Lancaster Bible in home doubleheader. The Shoremen tallied 23 runs on the day off 20 hits. Three different Shoremen homered, Chase Ruppel recorded his eighth of the season.

How It Happened
- The Shoremen scored first in the bottom of the second inning. Ty Everitt singled with one out. He was sent home when Ryan Timmons reached on a fielder's choice and advanced on a throwing error. The Shoremen left the inning up, 1-0.
- Drew Kinsey singled as the lead off batter in the bottom of the third. He was sent home on a throwing error by the pitcher attempting to pick him off. Brett Connolly was walked two at bats later. He was sent home by Brady Wozniak who singled to first base.
- The Shoremen extended their lead to 6-0 in the bottom of the fourth. Kinsey doubled, sending Timmons to third who was walked at the top of the half inning. Chase Ruppel sent Timmons home with a ground out to the shortstop. Connolly doubled sending Kinsey home and Alex Dardaris followed that hit up with an RBI of his own.
- Lancaster Bible scored twice in the top of the fifth.
- The Shoremen went up 14-2 over the Chargers in the bottom of the fifth inning. Ruppel hit his eighth home run of the season, batting in two runs in for the Shoremen.
- In the top of the seventh the Chargers put two more runs on the board, but it was not enough as they were run ruled after seven innings by the Shoremen, 14-4.

How It Happened
- The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth inning. Brett Connolly singled with one out and advanced to second on a throwing error by the catcher in a pick off attempt. Brady Thompson recorded a sacrifice fly sending Connolly home and putting the Shoremen on the board, 1-0.
- Three more runs were batted in for the Shoremen in the bottom of the fifth inning. Drew Kinsey homered sending him and Brady Wozniak home who doubled the at bat before.
- Lancaster Bible scored three runs in the top of the sixth to bring the game within one, 4-3.
- Washington College scored three more runs in the bottom of the seventh to go up 7-3 over the Chargers.
- A home run put the Chargers back within two in the top of the eighth, 7-5.
- Pete Kokinis had an answer with a home run of his own in the bottom of the eighth inning to extend the Shoremen lead, 9-5.
- Lancaster Bible scored one run in the top of the ninth, but a strikeout earned the third out of the inning leaving the Shoremen on top, 9-6.
