Wilmington, NC- Washington College Sailing finished 14th of 16 teams in the Azaela Bowl down in Wilmington. The Shoremen and Shorewomen were eight points behind the 13th place team, and took down UNCW, UNC, UCF, and Embry-Riddle University.
How It Happened
Azalea Bowl
- The best finish for the Shoremen and Shorewomen was a first-place finish in race 4A. Alex Salzberg and Soledad Fintel were the sailors representing Washington in the race. The Shoremen and Shorewomen finished in the A division with 129 points. Salzberg had Ethan Rower at Crew for races 1-3 and Fintel for races 4-6.
- In the B division, Austin Latimer sailed with Nora Ciak. The pair's best finish was two ninth place finishes in races one and five. The pair ended the regatta with 163 points. The Shoremen and Shorewomen ended the regatta with 292 total points.
