Washington Sailing Finishes Fifth In Pinkerton Memorial Regatta

Galesville, MD- Washington College Sailing finishes in fifth out of 12 teams at the Pinkerton Memorial Regatta hosted by the University of Maryland. The Shoremen and Shorewomen finished the weekend with 118 points.  

How It Happened 
Pinkerton Memorial Regatta 

  • Sailing in the A division for the Shoremen and Shorewomen was Matt Nadolny at skipper and Abby Wyman at crew. The pair's best finish was sixth place which they landed in both the fifth and tenth race. They ended the regatta with 83 points.  
  • Division B had George Wood at skipper and Rachel Morgen at crew. The pair finished second in four races five, eight, nine, and ten, and finished third in race four. The pair combined for a score of 35, the fourth best of Division B in the whole regatta.  
  • Washington Sailing finished two points behind Virginia Tech and seven points ahead of Drexel.  

Up Next 
Washington College Sailing will travel to Norfolk, VA to compete in The Grant Regatta hosted by Old Dominion on Saturday, April 11th and Sunday, April 12th.
