Shoremen Chase Away River Hawks, 17-7

Washington Jumps Out to 10-0 Lead

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College tallied the game's 10 goals on its way to a 17-7 win against visiting Susquehanna in non-conference men's lacrosse action on Tuesday afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium. The Shoremen are 3-1 on the campaign, while the River Hawks slip to 2-3.

How It Happened
- The Shoremen scored all six goals in the first quarter with Peyton Gestole scoring the first goal of the game 1:57 into the game. Gestole tallied three of the first four scores in the stanza for Washington.
- Washington added three more in the second to take a 9-0 lead into halftime with Jake Laubach scoring on a man-up with 4:50 remaining before halftime.
- The Shoremen got the first goal of the third to take a 10-0 lead on a Luca Signorello score 79 seconds into the third to cap the unanswered run. Susquehanna would end the run with 11:50 to go in the third for its first goal of the contest.
- It was 14-3 after three quarters and the River Hawks outscored the Shoremen 4-3 in the fourth for the final margin.

- Scoring: Talan Behler (five assists), Gestole (four goals), Carson Crawford (two goals and two assists), Laubach (two goals and assist), Tuck LeVanis (goal and two assists), Connor Philistine (two goals)
- In Goal: Skeet Hine (24:44, zero goals allowed, five saves), Keegan Dunn (13:55, one goal allowed, four stops), Colin Gray (13:45, four goals allowed, three saves), Tommy Winslow (7:36, two goals allowed, one save)
- Max McKenna (five face-off wins), Connor Updegraff and Brian Blanche (four ground balls and two caused turnovers)
- Washington registered 42 shots, was 20-for-22 in clears in the contest, won 12 face-offs and grabbed 45 ground balls.
- The Shoremen had 19 turnovers, while causing 16 Susquehanna turnovers.
