CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College outscored visiting Catholic 8-3 after halftime in an 11-6 win on Saturday afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium. The Shoremen are 4-1 on the campaign, while the Cardinals fall to 1-4.

How It Happened
- The Cardinals scored both first quarter goals to lead 2-0 after one.
- Washington tallied the first three of the second quarter to grab a 3-2 advantage with 6:13 left on a Nate Winters man-up score from Talan Behler.
- Catholic would tie the game with 6.5 ticks to go before halftime on an unassisted goal, 3-3.
- Tied at 5-5 following a Catholic score with 10:41 left in the third, WC netted the final three goals of the stanza to take an 8-5 lead following a Luca Signorello goal with 2:08 remaining. Aiden Ventura put the home side ahead for good at 6-5 with 8:16 left on a feed from Tuck LeVanis.
- In the fourth, the Shoremen put the contest away with three of the four goals.

- Scoring: Behler (game-bests of four assists and five points; one goal), Winters (four goals), Ventura and Jake Laubach (two goals)
- In Goal: Skeet Hine (60:00, six goals allowed, personal-best 13 saves)
- Ronan Miller (eight face-off wins and six ground balls)
- Washington recorded 41 shots, was 26-for-30 in clears in the contest, won nine face-offs and nabbed 42 ground balls.
- The Shoremen had 19 turnovers, while forcing eight Catholic turnovers.
