Senior women's lacrosse player MaryCate Anson (Newark, Del./Newark Charter) is this week's Shorewoman of the Week. Anson set the Shorewomen Lacrosse program record for career draw controls against #19 Messiah on Saturday.

Anson won the milestone draw, her fifth of the game, with 6:06 left in the third quarter and now has 216 all-time draws for the Shorewomen. In the game, the senior won a team-high eight draws and to go along with a game-best five ground balls.

This is Anson's second career Shorewoman of the Week honor in women's lacrosse and fourth overall as she earned the honor twice in field hockey.
