Heather Lamont Selected For NCAA Career In Sports Forum

The senior will travel to Indianapolis, IN for this four day program

Chestertown, MD – Heather Lamont, a senior on the Washington College women's rowing team, has been accepted into the NCAA's Career in Sports Forum in Indianapolis, IN.  

Lamont has held multiple leadership positions during her time here on campus. She currently serves as the SAAC, Student Athlete Advisory Committee, President, is currently the Centennial Conference SAAC Chair and served as the SAAC representative for the Centennial Conference at the NCAA Convention this past January.  

At Washington College, Lamont is a four-year member of the women's rowing team, a two-year captain, and has served as the athletics department sports operation intern during her junior year. She is currently studying psychology with a concentration in clinical counseling while minoring in business management. She will also be the first ever student at Washington College to graduate with a coaching minor in May. After graduating, Lamont plans on attending graduate school in hopes of becoming a sports phycologist.  

The Career in Sports Forum is an annual educational program that brings together 200 selected NCAA student-athletes to learn about and explore potential careers in sports, particularly college athletics. This unique three-day forum helps student-athletes chart their career paths as they network with and learn from current athletics professionals.  This three-day program is designed to help student-athletes explore career paths in college athletics and across the sports industry.
