Allentown, PA- Washington College Softball falls to Muhlenberg in a road double-header.
Game 1: Washington College 2 Muhlenberg 14
How It Happened
- Muhlenberg led 7-0 heading into the third inning. Jenna Harper reached first on an error by the second baseman. Gracelyn Goforth tripled to right field to send Harper home and put the Shorewomen on the board, 7-1.
- Muhlenberg scored six runs in the bottom of the third as an answer to extend their lead to 13-1.
- It was the top of the fifth and the Shorewomen were down 14-1. Linsay Worley singled to third base with a successful bunt with one out. She stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch. With two outs, Goforth singled to center field to send Worley home and earn the Shorewomen's second run of the day. The Shorewomen could not make up the runs and fell in game one, 14-2.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen trailed 3-0 in the top of the third. Grace Allen was walked as the lead off batter. She was advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt laid down by Julia Weglarz. A single by Emma Trainer sent Allen home, and the Shorewomen were on the board, 3-1.
- Muhlenberg scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth and one in the bottom of the fifth to extend their lead to 6-1.
- The Shorewomen headed into the top of the seventh inning looking to combat the deficit. With two outs, Julia Weglarz singled to left field. Gracelyn Goforth tripled to right field to send Weglarz home and put the Shorewomen down four, 6-2. Trainer sent the third run home for the Shorewomen as she hit at the second base man for Goforth to come home.
- A ground out gave Muhlenberg the final out of the game and the Shorewomen fell, 6-3.
