CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting #55 Franklin & Marshall netted a 5-2 win against host Washington College on Wednesday afternoon at the Schottland Tennis Center in Centennial Conference women's tennis action.

Doubles
- The Diplomats won all three doubles contests to take the doubles point. Second finished first with F&M's tandem winning 6-1 over
Isabella Sorhegui and
Sofia Sperandei. The Diplomats secured the point at third with a 6-2 result versus
Juanita Arbelaez and
Jess Wilde. The top flight finished last as the road team took it 7-6 (8-6) against
Soleil Namunyola and
Eva Kading.
Singles
- Third singles was the first to finish and it was a 6-0, 6-2 result versus Kading.
- F&M took a 3-0 lead with its No. 2 tallying a 6-4, 6-3 decision against Namunyola.
- The Diplomats clinched the win at No. 6, 7-5, 6-2 versus Wilde.
- No. 5 went the way of F&M, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7) over Sperandei.
- Sorhegui got the Shorewomen's first win of the afternoon at No. 4 in the second to final match to end, 6-3, 5-7, 1-0 (10-5).
- Arbelaez gained the win in three sets at the top spot in the last match to end, 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-8).
Notes
- The #59 Shorewomen are 8-8 on the season, while the #55 Diplomats 6-8 on the season. WC is 3-2 in the conference, while F&M is 2-3 in the Centennial.
