HAVERFORD, Pa. – Host #23 Haverford got past visiting Washington College, 13-12, in overtime in a Centennial Conference women's lacrosse game on Wednesday night at Swan Field. The Fords are now 11-5 overall and 6-1 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen are 10-5 and 4-3 respectively.
Senior attacker
Mia Salvatierra (Bel Air, Md./Fallston) tallied three points and is now second all-time in the history of Shorewomen Lacrosse with 264 points, moving into second early in the second quarter. The senior passed
Janet Studdiford '04, who had 262 all-time points.

How It Happened
- Trailing 5-2 after the first quarter, the Shorewomen would turn the tables in the second quarter with a 5-1 frame to take a 7-6 lead into halftime. Salvatierra tallied her 262nd career point to move into a second place tie four seconds into the quarter and then moved into second with her 263rd all-time point 53 seconds later, scoring the first two of the quarter.
Piper Evans would put the Shorewomen ahead heading into halftime with 22 ticks remaining on a pass from
MaryCate Anson at 7-6.
- Both teams scored three times in the third as the Shorewomen took a 10-9 lead heading into the fourth.
- Evans scored the first two goals of the fourth to give Washington a 12-9 edge with 4:52 left in the fourth before Haverford would respond with the last three goals of regulation to level it at 12-12, tying it with 34 seconds left to force overtime.
- In overtime, the Shorewomen had the first chance, but the shot was blocked before the Fords scored on its first chance for the winning tally 1:05 in.
