SALISBURY, Md. – Host #7 Salisbury held off a fourth quarter Washington College charge to come away with a 6-4 win for the Charles B. Clark Cup on Friday night in the annual "War on the Shore" at Sea Gull Stadium in non-conference men's lacrosse action. The Sea Gulls conclude their regular season at 14-3, while the Shoremen finish their regular season 12-5.Â

How It Happened
- The Shoremen tallied the last two goals of the first quarter to lead 2-1 after one with
Aiden Ventura scoring with 5:36 left in the first to give the guests a one-score lead after one.
Carson Crawford tied the game for WC with 7:46 remaining in the opening stanza just 43 seconds after the Sea Gulls netted the game's first score.
- Salisbury scored all three goals of the second quarter in an 11-second span to lead 4-2 at halftime, capping the run with 9:58 left before halftime. The second goal of the run with 10:05 to go put the home side ahead for good at 3-2.
- In the third quarter, the Sea Gulls scored both goals to lead 6-2.

Jake Laubach got the Shoremen their first goal since the first quarter with 9:29 remaining in the fourth stanza to trim it to 6-3 and then found
Reeve Hargrave to cut the deficit to 6-4 with 2:10 to go.
- Salisbury won the ensuing face-off and got the game down to 49 seconds before Washington got the ball back. The Shoremen were unable to get a shot to try to cut the lead to one in the final seconds and the Sea Gulls were able to run out the clock.

- Washington, who had 25 shots in the game, was 23-for-28 in clears in the contest and was 0-for-7 on the man-up.
- The Shoremen had 20 turnovers, caused five Salisbury turnovers and scooped up 34 ground balls.
Notes
- Tonight's 10 total goals were the fewest ever in the 58-game series as the previous low for goals in a game between Washington and Salisbury was 12 in 2006.
