Westminster, MD- Washington College Baseball drops in first game of Centennial Conference playoffs to host McDaniel. The Shoremen will compete in their second game of the double-elimination tournament on Saturday at Johns Hopkins.

How It Happened
- Drew Kinsey tripled to right field as the lead-off batter for the Shoremen. McDaniel recorded three straight outs to leave one on for the Shoremen. McDaniel scored two runs in the bottom of the first to take the early lead.
- Alex Dardaris began the top of the second inning with a single to shallow right field. Brady Wozniak followed with a single of his own. Ty Everitt was the third Shoremen up and was walked to load the bases for the Shoremen with zero outs. A strikeout and two pop fly ended the half inning leaving another three runners on base. McDaniel scored six runs in the bottom of the same inning to go up, 8-0.
- The bases were loaded again in the top of the third for the Shoremen. Dardaris hit into a double play, but sent the first run across for the Shoremen. Wozniak singled through the right side to send the next runner across for the Shoremen. They left the inning still down, 8-2.
- With two outs, Kinsey singled up the middle to put himself on first in the top of the fourth inning. He advanced to second on a wild pitch. Brett Connolly was walked and the Shoremen had two runners on with two outs. Chase Ruppel doubled to deep center field to send both runners home and put the Shoremen within four, 8-4.
- McDaniel scored one run in the bottom of the fifth and three in the bottom of the sixth to extend their lead to 12-4 over the Shoremen.
- The Shoremen were held scoreless for the rest of the game as the score went final at 12-4.
