Arcudi Scores Three Times For WC

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Muhlenberg used a 5-0 run spanning the first and second quarters to take the lead for good in a 12-8 win over #T17 Washington College in a Centennial Conference men's lacrosse game on Saturday afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium. The Mules improved to 6-6 overall and 1-2 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen are now 9-3 and 3-1 respectively.

How It Happened
- Tied at 2-2, Washington took a 3-2 lead with 31 seconds left in the first quarter on a Jake Arcudi tally from Peyton Gestole before Muhlenberg responded 18 seconds later and the game would enter the second tied 3-3.
- In the second quarter, the Mules scored the first four goals of the stanza to take a 7-3 advantage with 7:03 left to cap the five-goal run. The Shoremen got one back before halftime with 4:58 remaining on a Gestole man-up score to trim the deficit to 7-4 at halftime.
- After Muhlenberg netted the first goal of the third 2:14 into the quarter, the Washington scored the final three to cut the lead to 8-7 entering the fourth. Tuck LeVanis reduced the Mules' lead to a single goal with three seconds remaining.
- Leading 9-8, the Mules scored the final three goals of the game to pull away for the win as the road side had 4-1 advantage in the fourth.

For The Shoremen (9-3, 3-1 CC)
- Scoring: Gestole (two goals and two assists), Arcudi (three goals), Talan Behler and Jake Laubach (goal and assist)
- In Goal: Keegan Dunn (59:31, 11 goals allowed, 13 saves), Skeet Hine (0:29, one goal allowed, zero saves)
- Ronan Miller (12 face-off wins and seven ground balls), Dunn and Drew McCormick (two caused turnovers)
- Washington, who had 45 shots in the game, was 19-for-21 in clears in the contest and was 2-for-4 on the man-up.
- The Shoremen had 10 turnovers, while causing five Muhlenberg turnovers.
