St. Mary's City, MD - The Washington College Men's Rowing team bested St. Mary's College of Maryland who hosted the Maryland Civilian's Cup. The Shoremen also competed against the Division 1 varsity program of Loyola. The Shoremen finished eight seconds behind Loyola in the Varsity Eight race and cruised past the host earning themselves the second place spot.
Maryland Civilian's Cup Regatta
The Shoremen raced first in the Varsity Eight race. The boat finished eight seconds behind Loyola, a varsity D1 squad, and 24 seconds ahead of St. Mary's College of Maryland. The Varsity Four raced next with Washington beating out St. Mary's with a time of 6:54.33. The second Varsity Four completed their race with a time of 8:14.39.
