GREENWOOD, Ind. – Rising senior catcher/infielder
Cece Johnston (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Charter) has been named 2026 CSC Academic All-District® for softball. Johnston was selected to the Academic All-District® team by members of the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
The team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be on the team, a student-athlete must have a GPA (grade-point average) of at least 3.50 and is not rounded up. This is the first time that Johnson has been named to the team.
Johnston, who was named All-Centennial Conference honorable mention on May 6, led the squad with 22 walks while hitting .277 with 26 hits, 21 RBI, four doubles and an on-base percentage of .412 in 36 games, all starting assignments. The junior tallied hits in seven straight games to start her Washington career with four of those contests being two or more hits.
The rising senior is a Business Management major and currently has a 3.791 grade-point average.
