Washington College Has Four Tabbed 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District® At-Large

Anson Earns Honor for Third Straight Year, Collins Secures Recognition for Second Consecutive Spring with Gestole and Laubach Landing Spot for First Time

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Four Washington College student-athletes have been named to the 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District® for at-large, two on the men's side and two on the women's side. MaryCate Anson (Newark, Del./Newark Charter School) (field hockey and women's lacrosse), Maura Collins (St. Louis/Parkway West) (women's rowing) were selected to the Academic All-District® team on the women's side by members of the College Sports Communicators (CSC) and Peyton Gestole (Sudlersville, Md./Queen Anne's County) (men's lacrosse) and Jake Laubach (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) (men's lacrosse) were selected to the Academic All-District® team on the men's side by members of the College Sports Communicators (CSC). 

Laubach has been named to the national ballot and is eligible to be named a CSC Academic All-America®, which will be announced for the men on July 8.

The team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.  To be on the team, a student-athlete must have a GPA (grade-point average) of at least 3.50 and is not rounded up. Anson is now a three-time honoree, Collins is a recipient for the second time and Gestole and Laubach garnered selection for the first time.

Anson was named All-Centennial Conference second team in field hockey back in November and All-CC honorable mention in women's lacrosse in May. In field hockey, she totaled team-highs of 25 points on nine goals and seven assists, all career-highs. In women's lacrosse, Anson led the team in draw controls (101), which tied the program record for draws in a season, and owns the school record for career draws (293). She was named the Centennial Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year for Women's Lacrosse as a junior in 2025 and the Centennial Conference Tri-Scholar-Athlete of the Year for Field Hockey last fall as a senior.

She graduated on May 17 from The College with a degree in Biology and Environmental Science with a 4.00 grade-point average.

Collins, a member of the women's rowing team, gained Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference second team honors for the second straight season last month. She was the recipient of the Doris T. Bell '50 Award which goes to the senior female at Washington College with the highest cumulative average who has won a varsity letter during the year.

She graduated on May 17 from The College with a degree in Environmental Science with a 4.00 grade-point average.

Gestole, a member of the men's lacrosse team, earned All-CC second team honors this spring. He led the team with 55 points and four game-winning goals, three of which came in overtime, and was second on the squad in goals (35) and assists (20) in 2026.

The rising senior is a Business Management major and has a 3.584 grade-point average.

Laubach, a member of the men's lacrosse team, secured All-Centennial Conference second team and USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American honorable mention recognition this spring. He scored 23 goals and added 10 assists for 33 points to go along with six man-up goals to tie for team lead.

The rising senior is a Business Administration major and currently has a 3.778 grade-point average.
