LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the seventh straight season, and 12th time overall, the Washington College volleyball program has qualified for the American Volleyball Coaches Association's (AVCA) Team Academic Award. 

The Shorewomen were one of 1,432 teams to earn the award for the 2025-26 academic year. The award "honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale," as mentioned in a press release from the AVCA.

Washington was one of 233 Division III programs to receive the award in 2025-26, and joined fellow Centennial Conference members Bryn Mawr, Dickinson, Franklin & Marshall, Gettysburg, Haverford, Johns Hopkins, McDaniel, Muhlenberg and Swarthmore in earning the award from AVCA.
