Chestertown MD – Washington College Men's Soccer kicked off their season with an intense head-to-head face off against Salisbury. Both teams scored their first goals within two minutes of each other, but neither team could pull out the win as the game ended in a draw, 1-1.

How it Happened:
- The Shoremen led in shots at the half with five to Salisbury's three. The Sea Gulls had the lone shot on goal in the half that was saved by goalkeeper, Calvin Field.
- The first goal of the game came curtsey of Salisbury in the 75th minute. Less than two minutes later the Shoremen were on the board due to an own goal header goal by the Salisbury defender. The score was 1-1 with 14 minutes left to play.
- With 9:40 remaining, a Salisbury midfielder earned his second yellow card of the game, disqualifying him from the game and forcing the Sea Gulls to play a man down.
- Tucker Sprano took every opportunity he had to try and earn the game winner as he recorded three shots in the final ten minutes of the game. The first two were blocked and the last missed high right.
- The game ended in a draw, 1-1.
