How It HappenedÂ
- The Shorewomen played on their home turf in this matchup. They came off from the very start with lots of intensity and energy. In the 19th minute the Shorewomen get a free kick, that turned into a goal by Kaileigh Brady to give the Shorewomen the 1-0 lead.Â
- The momentum continues and not even three minutes later the Shorewomen earn another free kick. Brady scored another goal, her second of the game.
- In the 27th minute Lily Barnum recieved a great pass from Sophie Kilbride. This lead to the third goal of the first half giving Washinton College a 3-0 comfortable lead making it nearly impossible for the Lions to come back. The defense locked down only giving Albright two shots and no shots on goal the whole first half. Â
- As the second half starts the Shorewomen carry the momentum and positive energy into the next half. This half is a defensive half for Washington, holding it down in the back half of the field. Only allowing one shot on goal in the second half, giving the Shorewomen the win, 3-0.Â
