CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College bested visiting Wilson, 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-18) in an out of conference volleyball match on Thursday night at Penny J. Fall Gymnasium in the team's Morgan's Message Match for mental health awareness. The Shorewomen go to 7-3 on the year, while the Phoenix is 0-11.

How It Happened
- The match started back-and-forth matchup tied at 8-8 before the Shorewomen won five of the next six points to lead 13-9 on an
Alexis Stubbs ace. Leading 20-19, the Shorewomen rolled off the final five points of the set to win by six as a setting error by the Phoenix ended the set.
Lyndsey Wessel had six kills for Washington in the set and two in the final run.
- Wessel added three kills early in the second set as the team built an 8-2 lead. However, Wilson was able to cut it to 22-21 after an attack miscue by the Shorewomen. Washington would respond with the final three points as
Izzy Diehl and
Bethany Haughton began it with a block and Diehl had a kill to seal the four-point second set win.
- Leading 10-9 in the third and final set, WC won six consecutive points to lead 16-9 on a Stubbs ace. During the run, Diehl totaled four kills during the run. The Phoenix got it back to 19-16 before
Gianna Folke had back-to-back kills to ignite a 6-2 match closing run. The match ended with a kill by Diehl for a seven-point win.
