Box Score Jane O'Donnell Leads Washington with 13

CHESTERTOWN, MD – Visiting McDaniel College
used an 18-0 run to jump out to a 20-2 lead and never looked back
en route to a 62-47 Centennial Conference women's basketball
victory over host Washington College tonight inside Cain Athletic
Center. The Green Terror improved to 6-4 overall and 5-2 in
conference play with their sixth straight win, while the Shorewomen
fell to 5-6 and 3-3 with the loss.
McDaniel shot 59.3% (16-of-27) from the field in
the first half, building a 37-14 halftime lead. Washington shot
just 5-for-24 (20.8%) in the opening stanza. The Green Terror lead
grew to as many as 28 points in the second half.
Katelyn Fischer and
Whitney Snoops scored 12 points each for McDaniel.
Snoops added a game-best 14 rebounds. Sally Grace
added 10 points for the Green Terror.
Senior guard Jane O'Donnell
(Cape May Court House, NJ/Wildwood Catholic)
scored 13 points for the Shorewomen to lead all scorers. Sophomore
guard Meghan Tait (Oxford, PA/Oxford Area) chipped
in nine points, eight rebounds, five assists, and four steals.
McDaniel shot 49.1% (28-of-57) for the game, while
Washington shot 29.4% (15-of-51).
The Shorewomen return to action Saturday with a
2:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home game against Gettysburg.
