Auger Wins 100 Breaststroke For WC
LANCASTER, PA – Host Franklin & Marshall had the top time in 10 of 11 events en route to a 119-57 win over visiting Washington College on Friday night at the Kunkel Aquatic Center on Friday night in Centennial Conference men's swimming action. The Diplomats improve to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference, while the Shoremen drop to 0-4 and 0-2 respectively.
Junior Austin Auger (McLean, VA/Langley) won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:03.44. The 200 freestyle relay team of junior Nick Longworth (Media, PA/Strath Haven), sophomore A.J. Feurer (Kingsville, MD/Archbishop Curley), junior Johnny Helenek (Gaithersburg, MD/Gaithersburg) and senior Tim Beadell (Timonium, MD/Loyola Blakefield) captured the first place points with a time of 1:37.79
The 200 medley relay team of Longworth, Auger, senior Matt Violette (Westbrook, ME/Westbrook) and Beadell placed second in the relay with a time of 1:44.38.
Longworth was second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 57.52.
Washington returns to action on December 4-5 at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational.
