Lee Breaks Pool Record as Shoremen Fall to Bears, 119-81

COLLEGEVILLE, PA -- Host Ursinus College downed visiting Washington College, 119-81, in Centennial Conference men's swimming this afternoon in Collegeville, PA. Freshman Greg Lee (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield Memorial) won two individual events for the Shoremen in the loss, breaking one pool record.

Lee won the 50 freestyle in 22.57 and then won the 200 butterfly in a pool-record time of 1:59.28.

Freshman James Ray (Timonium, MD/Towson) added a second-place finish in the 200 backstroke in 2:06.69. Senior Austin Auger (McLean, VA/Langley) touched the wall second in the 200 breaststroke in 2:22.07, but received the first-place points because Ursinus entered the event as exhibitions only.

Also receiving first-place points because of Ursinus exhibition entrants was the 200 freestyle relay team of freshman Austin Yocum (Lebanon, PA/Cedar Crest), freshman Steven Bilinski (Swarthmore, PA/Strath Haven), senior Ross Mills (Silver Spring, MD/Paint Branch), and Ray, who recorded the third-fastest time of the race in 1:32.90

The Shoremen (3-6, 0-5 Centennial Conference) close out their dual meet schedule one week from today with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference meet at McDaniel.
