Box Score Cabot Makes Eights Saves for the Shoremen
CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Visiting Johns Hopkins University clinched the fourth seed in the upcoming Centennial Conference Tournament with a 2-0 men's soccer win over host Washington College tonight on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Blue Jays improved to 7-7-2 overall and 5-3-1 in conference play, while the Shoremen finish their season at 5-10 and 3-6.
The Blue Jays got on the board early when Simon Rojas finished off a corner kick sent by Birin Padam to give Hopkins a 1-0 lead 4:14 into the game. Hopkins added its second goal on an Eric Buck free kick at 42:52.
Senior goalkeeper Tyler Cabot (Hightstown, NJ/Peddie School) made six saves in the loss for Washington. Nick Cerrone made a pair of saves for the Blue Jays. Hopkins held a 20-6 advantage in shots and an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks in the game.
