Morgan Wins Three Individual Events in Victory
CHESTERTOWN, Md. — The Host Washington College men's swim team got three individual first-place finishes from senior Lucas Morgan (Allendale, N.J./Northern Highlands Regional) in a 148.5-113.5 season-opening win over Centennial Conference rival Franklin & Marshall this afternoon inside Casey Swim Center. The meet was the season opener for both teams.

How It Happened
- Morgan won the 1000 freestyle in 10:15.54, the 200 breaststroke in 2:10.58, and the 200 individual medley in 1:59.34. He also swam the second leg of the first-place 200 medley relay, joining Charles Logan, Brent Longenecker, and Kevin Mackenzie for a winning time of 1:37.77.
- Pat Elliott won both the 200 freestyle in 1:47.23 and the 500 freestyle in 5:02.33 for the Shoremen. Brent Hochstein won the 200 butterfly in 2:00.01 and was second in both the 200 backstroke (2:03.18) and 200 individual medley (2:02.14). Longenecker won the 100 butterfly in 53.01 and placed second in the 50 freestyle in 22.25.
- Mackenzie had a pair of second-place finishes, finishing in 1:02.16 in the 100 breaststroke and in 49.41 in the 100 freestyle. Logan was second in the 100 backstroke in 54.73.
- Two Shoremen freshmen made the team's all-time top 10 times list in their collegiate debut. Seth Wrigley's 2:01.66 second-place time in the 200 butterfly made him the Shoremen's seventh-fastest swimmer ever in that event and his third-place time of 53.74 in the 100 butterfly tied him for 10th-fastest in that event. Ty Cummings was second in the 100 butterfly in 53.49 to become Washington's eighth all-time fastest swimmer in that event.
