Box Score Each Have Goal and Assist In Final 7:15 As WC Scores Twice To Break Tie
CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Junior midfielders Elizabeth Davis (Earleville, Md./Bohemia Manor) and Allison Remenapp (Woodbine, Md./Century) each had assisted on each other's goal in the second as host Washington College scored twice in a 2:26 span late in the second half to break a 2-2 tie as the Shorewomen downed visiting Gettysburg 4-2 in a Centennial Conference field hockey game on Friday night at Kibler Field at Roy Kirby, Jr. Stadium. The Shorewomen are now 4-3 on the year and 1-1 in the conference, while the Bullets are 3-4 and 0-3 respectively.

How It Happened
-The Shorewomen broke onto the scoreboard 12:14 into the game when Davis found a loose ball in the middle of the circle and blasted the shot into the left side to give Washington a 1-0 lead.
-Gettysburg would level the game at 1-1 with 13:16 to go in the first half when Kathryn Hardman rebounded her own shot and stuffed it into the right side of the cage.
-Washington would retake the lead just 58 ticks later when junior Alli Dudley raced down the left side and her crossing pass was tipped into the goal by sophomore Michaela Conners for her first goal of the year.
-The Bullets came out strong in the second half and leveled the game just 55 seconds in when Alex Calder fired a shot into the right side of the goal off of a penalty corner with Hardman notching the assist.
-Calder's score was the first of 14 straight shots by Gettysburg to start the half. However, the Bullets would not score again despite having 10 shots in a 4:01 span.
-The Bullets had two golden chances to take the lead in the 54th minute. Washington senior goalkeeper Sadie Robertson saved a shot by Gettysburg's Lily Neibart at 53:21 and nine seconds later Hannah Fitzgerald's attempt on the rebound just went wide to the left of the cage. Fitzgerald's shot was the last shot for the guests in the contest.
-The Shorewomen would retake the lead with 7:15 left as Davis' pass found Remenapp in the goalmouth and Remenapp poked the shot in to give the hosts a 3-2 lead as the sequence started off of a penalty corner. It was WC's second shot of the half and came just after the first Washington shot by Davis was blocked by a Bullets defender.
-The Davis-Remenapp tandem scored the insurance goal with 4:49 left when off of Remenapp's penalty corner found Davis and Davis rocketed the shot into the lower left corner from the left side to give the hosts a two-goal cushion.

-Davis (2 goals and 1 assist), Remenapp (1 goal and 1 assist), Conners (1 goal), Dudley (1 assist)
-Goalkeeper: Robertson (8 saves – ties career-high, 2 goals allowed, 70:00)
-Washington had nine shots and 10 penalty corners in the victory.
For Gettysburg (3-4, 0-3 CC)
-Hardman (1 goal and 1 assist), Calder (1 goal)
-Goalkeeper: Haley Mowery (1 save, four goals allowed, 70:00)
-Gettysburg had 22 shots and eight penalty corners in the contest.
Notes
-Washington has won six of the seven meetings against Gettysburg this decade.
-Davis is now tied for seventh all-time in the history of the program in points with 61, tying her with Claire McAuliffe (2011-13).
-Remenapp tied her career-high in points tonight with three.
