COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Senior midfielder
MaryCate Anson (Newark, Del./Newark Charter) was named to the 2025 NFHCA All-Region V second team on Wednesday. This is the first time Anson has landed all-region honors.
Anson, a 2025 All-Centennial Conference second team selection, was the team's leader in goals (9), assists (7) and points (25). The senior set career-bests in all three categories this fall.
She finished her career with 17 goals and 17 assists for 51 points, with five of her 17 scores being game-winning tallies. Her 17 helpers rank her tied for seventh in program history. Anson was a three-time All-Centennial pick, second team in 2023 and 2025 and honorable mention in 2024.
This is the second straight year Washington has had a player earn all-region honors as
Kat Esposito '25 was second team in 2024.
Since 2001, the Shorewomen have had 23 all-region honorees.
