Box Score FREDERICK, Md. – Junior midfielder Elizabeth Davis (Earleville, Md./Bohemia Manor) scored a pair of goals, while junior midfielders Alli Dudley (New Windsor, Md./Francis Scott Key) and Allison Remenapp (Woodbine, Md./Century) each scored one goal, and senior Jordan Mitchell (Centreville, Md./Queen Anne's County) handed out two assists as visiting Washington College topped host Hood, 4-0, on Thursday afternoon in a non-conference field hockey in the season opener for both squads at the Thomas Athletic Field. The Shorewomen scored two goals in each half.

How It Happened
- Remenapp put Washington onto the scoreboard 6:12 into the game when she rebounded her own shot to put the Shorewomen ahead for good.
- Davis received a pass from Mitchell in the center of the circle and fired a shot into the right side of the cage to put the Shorewomen ahead 2-0 with 22:59 remaining in the first half.
- Mitchell had a hard strike deflected into the goal by Dudley 2:44 into the second half.
- 70 seconds after Mitchell's score, Davis scored for the second time off of a penalty corner with Remenapp chalking up the helper to round out the scoring.

Notes
- The two teams were meeting for the first time since 1987, a 4-2 Washington win and the fourth time overall. Hood won the first two meetings between the schools in 1985 and 1986.
- First game Washington has not allowed a shot since an 11-0 win over Bryn Mawr on October 28, 2010.
- Davis sits just four points away from 50 career points. She has 17 goals and 12 assists.
- Amspacher's defensive save was on a shot by Washington's
Michaela Conners. Amspacher and Conners both attended Archbishop Carroll High School in suburban Philadelphia and are both Havertown, Pa. natives.
